What began in Boston has since found its home in Maine, where Ben continues to bring that same vision to life by building homes tailored to the way people truly live.

Fleet Builders was founded in 2021 by Ben Fuller as a full-service custom home building and remodeling firm. Ben’s work ethic was instilled at an early age while working in his family’s business, which was established in 1922 on Fleet Street in Boston, Massachusetts. When creating his company, it was important to Ben to honor the family who taught him core values such as treating all employees and clients like family. The word Fleet carries more meaning than just a home building company; it represents the legacy of four generations of dedicated, family rooted, and detail-oriented individuals.

Ben Fuller
FOUNDER
With more than 20 years of experience in the construction industry, Ben has remained committed to providing clients with a personalized experience throughout every stage of a renovation or new home build. His focus on client service inspired him to establish Fleet Builders and assemble a team that shares his commitment to quality, integrity, and clear communication.
Ben holds a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management from Wentworth Institute of Technology, which helped shape his hands-on approach to building and project management. Together, the Fleet team works to ensure each project is completed with care, attention to detail, and a clear understanding of the client’s vision.
Outside of work, Ben enjoys spending time with his family, exploring the outdoors, and working on projects around his own home.

Gus Lappin
MARKETING DIRECTOR
Gus Lappin joined Fleet Builders as Marketing Director after graduating from Johnson & Wales University with a bachelor’s degree in marketing. Before joining Fleet, he spent nearly a decade working in the landscaping industry, where he developed experience in project coordination, employee training, customer service, and day-to-day business operations.
At Fleet, Gus oversees the company’s marketing, content, website, and brand development. His role focuses on sharing the company’s work, strengthening Fleet’s presence throughout Southern Maine, and helping potential clients better understand the building process.
Outside of work, Gus enjoys spending time with family, working out, golfing, and exploring Maine.

Michelle Fuller
OFFICE MANAGER
Michelle supports Fleet Builders across many areas of the company, from client communication and office operations to partnerships and brand development. Her ability to step into whatever the business needs helps keep the company organized and moving forward.
Michelle holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maine, providing a strong foundation for her work behind the scenes at Fleet. Outside of the company, she enjoys spending time with her family and their dog, Cooper.
Where We Build
Fleet Builders serves clients throughout Southern Maine, with a primary focus on Portland, South Portland, Cape Elizabeth, Falmouth, Scarborough, Old Orchard Beach, Saco, Biddeford, Kennebunk, Kennebunkport, Wells, Ogunquit, York, Kittery, North Berwick, South Berwick, and the surrounding communities.
While these communities make up our primary service area, we are open to select projects beyond it when they are the right fit for our team.
